The Purpose of the Board

The Non-Executive Board exists to act as a critical friend to the Bloom Group. Its role is to provide independent oversight, expert advice, and constructive challenge, ensuring that we deliver exceptional childcare while building a business that is financially sound, compliant, consistently at the highest quality and future-ready.

How It Works

    •    The Board meets termly to review progress, advise on strategy, and provide governance support.

    •    Each member brings a specialist skillset – including finance, digital and marketing, childcare quality and compliance , health and safety, estates and facilities, procurement, business development, HR compliance, and community engagement.

    •    Ahead of every meeting, members carry out a focused audit in their area of expertise, bringing forward recommendations and insights.

    •    These recommendations are reviewed collectively and translated into practical improvements, with clear accountability for follow-up before the next meeting.
